What Do College Teams Do With Old Helmets

Discovering the Back Bay, Fenway and Kenmore

In our planning we had to leave today to visit the city of Salem , but we love so much Boston , we decide to give up and use the day to find the neighborhoods of Back Bay , Fenway and Kenmore that are rather distant from the center.

As usual we have breakfast with tea and sweets at the Fairmont Starbucks cross the North End neighborhood inhabited by Italian immigrants who abounds in wine shops and restaurants and we head towards our own ' Esplanade, a large city park that stretches for several kilometers along Charles River.
through it for a long stretch on the water enjoying the view, as we Bostonians who are different than moving a bike or running on foot.
height of Kenmore Square aabbandoniamo along the river and head inside the city, passing close to the mythical Fenway Park, the stadium of the Boston Red Sox. The area is very busy, there are many tourists and lovers of baseball.
Marco, as a former player insists on going to see the shop that sells the official uniforms and came out happy with his new Red Sox jersey signed .
Our tour continues along the Comunity Victory Garden, where, incredibly, are the first gardens in the city!
It takes a lot of walking but in the end we come to the Museum of Fine Arts that we go to visit.
We follow the map that comes courtesy lounge room dwelling and turn on the pieces that attract most of our attention.
appreciate more exposures related to Oceania, the Egyptians, the art of the Himalayas, the reproduction of a Japanese house and a Buddhist temple. Let's visit the end of the hall dedicated to the Impressionist painters of our favorites. There are many paintings, especially different Millet, Monet, but only a couple of Van Gogh and Gaugain
What struck us most, beyond the beauty of certain works, the setting is recreated in each room again the reasons of the artifacts it contains. There are very specific preparations, especially in the gallery devoted to Egypt.

Museum of Fine Arts

Our visit took about three hours. At the end we decided to dine in self-service that is in the basement in the museum. There are a wide range of food, decent quality and at a price cheap enough.

Leaving there we head towards Copley Square , one of the centers in Boston. Here among the skyscrapers that reflect the blue sky and lots of shops there are two historic buildings: the Public Library and Trinity Church.

please first visit the bibiblioteca public wander through the halls and reading rooms and loan resting at a table in the pleasant courtyard.

Trinity Church

The Trinity Church has a very unique architecture. Inside you can admire the beautiful stained glass windows. Too bad the most famous, the Majestic in Christ is being restored and then you can not see.

At this point we're tired from the long walk and decide to have dinner with something quick to Quincy Market, before returning to the hotel.
