Oh well my English is not too detached from trips to the Iberian peninsula, but what can you do, my thoughts are focused on language recently another language (with Pinyin and go!).
So there was talk of that, or if you wish, Commander Ernesto Guevara, called Che. The point is that I saw recently (the) film with Soderbergh Benicio del Toro (beautiful interpretation, the best part 1 part 2) and of course being here in the States than in other countries can lead to a more reflections ... let's say ... compared to the original red Che Europe, Cuba, the revolution and what it means to be revolutionary in general. For it is not that in his time that he was the idol of the masses here, and even today is not as popular in our country. Even If Hollywood and fashion in general idolize him, ordinary people are a bit more skeptical about this community (on the other hand, the word communism here is a kind of blasphemy). Yeah. Fashion. Point one: I absolutely agree with the final comment DiRiviera, or will come on earth as it is called (if you listen to the decision of the commentator is impossible to understand): Che Guevara is the king of marketing. And this would go crazy of anger if he were still alive. And I think this is a cultural victory of capitalism against communism. I try to explain. Although many people use or exhibit the image of Che because they really share the ideals of freedom (freedom from a bit different from the professed U.S. of A), fight against social injustice to overturn oppressive and corrupt system, there are two drawbacks: The first is that there are as many if not most people who exhibit the same image without absolutely nothing about it just because it is cool or because it is fashionable. Ball in the center. And given the history, the final whistle. I personally find it amazing how the capitalist system finds a way to marketization, commodify anything. It commodified persons (or part of them, think of the organ market). Do not think of prostitution, but to work. The slaves (this is why we call things by their name) that collect tomatoes in Puglia to those who clean the gardens or working in restaurants in the U.S. of A, especially near the imaginary borders, even if it is not in this city is missing. We commodify thought (the word copyright and patent tell you anything?). It commodified emotions (and here we are talking about television in general, Reality Show in front of the list). second point. Strange that two refugees in the United States speak ill of the countries from which they escaped. That said, these two people have shared the points. PS: Speaking of idols revolutionary, I was very saddened to hear from my Mexican friend that many former members of the EZLN, now that the struggle has to be interrupting some time, have become a social problem, as alcoholics. A bit of soreness, but the fact that the EZLN has abandoned weapons to use diplomatic tools it seemed a sign of maturity, "Revolutionary" (dare a reformer here?)
