First time 
The first time you never forget, is this is the first time that I have the right to vote even in exile (as faithful readers know Adige). This is also the first time that I vote for the Senate. Some thoughts
springs to mind. On the one hand, the happiness to be able to exercise my right and duty, even from here, because I feel you're an Italian (even though I am part of Italians, as we define Severgnini), the other a sense of responsibility that follows. For this are not in tune with supporters of not voting: why the bottom line is only counterproductive behavior (and then the voters will also decide who abstains) and why, having lost once to the right to participate in the public affairs for external causes, I have no intention to divest itself (as would darso in the foot).
I am very happy of the fact that, as an Italian abroad temporarily are not reduced to the Pallaro rate of turn, but even the Lazio area (although I do not understand, but if they are based in Trento, Why vote for Rome? mah!).
I must say that the consulate in New York worked fine: I sent my details via fax, I wrote an email asking for confirmation and they told me the next day, I received the package today and I can shipping without having to spend a penny on the dollar with first class mail.
